Supervisory Board

It's important to us that Oosterhoff is governed well, which is why we safeguard the interests of all stakeholders through our three-member Supervisory Board.

The Supervisory Board monitors the strategy and forms a sounding board for the Board of Directors.

Our Supervisory Board monitors among other things Oosterhoff’s financial health and strategy implementation and assesses whether stakeholder interests are safeguarded. The Supervisory Board comprises Paul Vismans, Willemien Aardenburg and Daniel van Dongen.

Paul Vismans, chairman Appointed till: 12 May 2025 Year of birth: 1955 Nationality: Dutch Committee: Chairman

Paul Vismans has been involved with construction and property for many years, including as COO and CEO. He is the Supervisory Board Chair.

After graduating from ETH Zurich, Paul spent much of his career working in property investment (ABP/APG). He was successively CEO at Winkelbeleggingen Nederland, COO at Corio and CEO at Kantorenfonds Nederland. Today, Paul is an independent consultant and Director of Drechtsteden Regional Development Agency, Supervisory Board Chair of Rochdale Amsterdam and a member of the VB-Groep Supervisory Board in Eindhoven. He is also involved in various start-ups and in developing property investment funds.

 

Paul: ‘I’m passionate about innovation, and corporate social responsibility is also a high priority for me. I am a techie through and through and, as institutional investor, I was on the client side for many years. I’m so proud that, with this background and motivation, I can chair Oosterhoff’s Supervisory Board and advise the Board of Directors.’

Willemien Aardenburg Appointed till: 12 May 2025 Year of birth: 1966 Nationality: Dutch Committee: Chairman

Willemien Aardenburg is a senior judge. She specialises in employment law and focuses on HR and legal aspects within Oosterhoff.

Willemien studied Work and Organisational Psychology and Law in Amsterdam. She was a lawyer in Zuidas for eight years, before becoming a judge at the North Holland district court in Haarlem in 2002. Willemien is also a trustee at Zonnehuisgroep Amstelland, an institution for the care of older people, she chairs the NVM complaints committee and substitute chairman for the Board of Discipline.

 

Willemien: ‘It’s so inspiring to be part of Oosterhoff’s Supervisory Board together with Paul and Daniel because, as a group, Oosterhoff constructs many beautiful, functional, safe and sustainable buildings, like the Amsterdam district court. This can only be achieved with dedicated people who seek creative solutions and always aim for innovation. It’s a joy to facilitate such state-of-the-art people as best I can.’

Daniel van Dongen Appointed till: 12 May 2025 Year of birth: 1971 Nationality: Dutch Committee: voorzitter

Daniel van Dongen has been CFO at various international property and energy transition companies in recent years. His focus is on finance.

He studied business economics at the University of Groningen and the Universidad de Salamanca and trained as Chartered Controller at VU Amsterdam. He is Chair of the Limburg Energie Fonds Advisory Council, Chair of an energy cooperative and active as an independent advisor. Until 2020, he was CFO of Sunrock, a big Dutch development investor in large-scale solar power systems. Prior to this, Daniel was CFO of NSI for eight years and worked in higher management positions in the Netherlands, Italy, France and Belgium, including at Wereldhave, TPG and KPN. He has held various board member and supervisory director positions, including at Intervest Offices & Warehouses NV (BE), the Association of Fiscal Investment Institutions, Agrilinq and European Publicly Listed Real Estate.

 

Daniel: ‘I believe that the combination of the various knowledge areas within Oosterhoff is stronger than the sum of its parts. Which is why I’m keen to build on the success of this combination and help make a meaningful contribution to social challenges in the built environment. Oosterhoff’s professional-business approach, with its focus on the human dimension, is something I really identify with.’
